If you've found yourself complaining during this holiday season, imagine having to spend it in the hospital, and you'll probably feel better. Friday, Raleigh firefighters tried to spread a little cheer among the burn patients at the Jaycee Burn Center at UNC Hospitals.

The firefighters delivered stockings stuffed with toys, candy and more, and chipped in nearly $1,000 dollars to make it all possible.

Meanwhile, in Fayetteville, officers also played Santa Friday, joining the jolly old man himself, passing out gifts to children at Cape Fear Medical Center.

Young patients there spent the afternoon working puzzles and reading books, but a sackful of huggable teddy bears were in high demand.

No doubt the bears will be put to good use during their hospital stay.
