Members of a University of North Carolina fraternity issued a formal apology for the theft of dozens of Christmas decorations from Chapel Hill residents. Police found the stolen items in the Sigma Alpha Epsilon house Sunday afternoon.

Tuesday night, SAE President Worth Liipfert made an official apology to the city.

The fraternity has promised to work with the Salvation Army during Christmas break, and to volunteer with other local programs over the spring semester.

No charges in the thefts have been filed.
