Women in Wreck Identified
Police have released the identities of three Raleigh women involved in a fatal wreck on the city's Beltline Saturday night. Marjorie Hudson, 49, was killed. A car driven by Sarai Class, 23, was reported to have crossed the grassy median and hit Hudson's car head on. Tonya Aboul-Hosn, 22, was a passenger in the Class car.
No charges have been filed, but the investigation continues.
Witnesses said the Class car, a Mazda MX-6, was going south on the outer loop when it crossed the grassy median and crashed head-on into Hudson's red Volkswagen heading north.
A woman in a car right behind the Volkswagen said it appeared that the Mazda had simply turned left across the grass; she said Class's vehicle did not seem to be out of control.
Class and Aboul-Hosn had to be cut from the car by rescue workers.
Traffic was backed up at least a mile in each direction. Motorists were rerouted while police cleared the accident.
