Funeral For Young Accident Victim Scheduled for Today

Two young girls died as a result of a car crash in Cumberland County this past weekend. Today fellow students and families will attend the funeral for one of them.

The service for Lashonda Cooper begins at 2 p.m. today at the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church. The church is located in Mesic in Pamlico County.

The funeral for the second victim, Jasmine Burks, will be held tomorrow at 4 p.m. Her service will take place at the Savannah Baptist Church on Tabor Church Road in Fayetteville.
