All is Not Settled, But Wake County Buses Rolling

The Nash County bus driver dispute came on the heels of a similar problem in Wake County, but Wake students are again boarding buses as scheduled.

Tuesday morning drivers met with Wake Schools Transportation Director Wyatt Harper to try to settle their differences, but drivers remain divided on the issue. Some say walking out is the only way to get more money, while others say a walkout only hurts students and sends the wrong message to school administrators.

Regardless of their feelings, most Wake drivers say they will remain on the job at least until the next school board meeting.

Some had staged a so-called sick-out earlier in the week.
