Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic Begins

"Don't ever give up," Jim Valvano said. "Don't ever stop fighting."

With those words the basketball coach of the N.C. State Wolfpack inspired a nation. Four years after his death, Jim Valvano's legacy lives on.

The Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic kicks off next Thursday with a reverse raffle at the Raleigh Convention and Conference Center.

There are only 500 tickets available at $100 each. The cost of the tickets is tax deductible. Proceeds will go to the Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic, which in turn will help raise money for the V foundation for cancer research.
