Wendell's Hollerer Gets National Exposure

Wendell's loudest resident is now a star. Robey Morgan, the 82-year-old national hollering champion, made his network debut Thursday night on CBS-TV's "The Late Show With David Letterman".

Morgan's champion yells were heard from coast to coast and, of course, in his home town. He hollered his way to the top of the entertainment world by winning the National Hollerin' Contest in Spivey's Corner, North Carolina.
