Police Say Fires Set by Serial Arsonist

Carrboro police say a serial arsonist is responsible for several fires set in Orange County. The fire department spent much of Tuesday dousing six suspicious fires.

The fires started early Tuesday morning and were set within a mile of each other in Chapel Hill and Carrboro and all began between 12:30a.m. and 4:30 a.m.

This was not the first rash of purposely set fires in the area.
