Preliminary Results Show Johnston Students Above Average

The school year is wrapping up for most North Carolina students Friday, but In Johnston County, school leaders are also getting results of end-of-grade test scores.

Preliminary numbers look good. They show fourth-graders ahead of the state average with 77 percent of students scoring at-or-above grade level in reading and 83 percent above average in math.

Seventh-graders also beat the average scoring 74 percent proficiency in reading and 79 percent in math.
