Tractor Trailer Burns on I-40

A tractor-trailer truck caught fire Thursday afternoon during rush-hour traffic on westbound Interstate-40 between Page Road and I-540.

Emergency workers were on the scene at 5 p.m. Traffic was at a virtual standstill in that vicinity.

Reportedly, the fire began in the engine compartment of the truck.
