Police Search for Boy Who Had Explosives

Orange County authorities are on the lookout for a 16-year-old boy whose mother said he tried to blow up their house with propane explosives last night.

The boy allegedly stole his mother's car and drove off with a girl about his same age. Police said they had no reason to believe he has any more explosives or any other weapons with him.

Authorities believe the two were headed east in a 1996 four-door white Ford Escort. They also believe the girl may have medical problems.
