Rocky Mount Police Arrest New York Fugitives

New York Police called learned two men wanted in New York were living in Rocky Mount, so they called police here for help. When Rocky Mount police arrived at the house, it turned out there were actuallythreemale fugitives hiding out, along with a woman.

While searching the home at 324-D Hill Street, 12 Rocky Mount officers found drugs, guns, an 8-foot python, a pit bull and a cache of stolen property.

Police arrested 21-year-old Zacherie Santiago, aka Andre Harper, on charges of possessing crack cocaine and stolen property, as well as the fugitive charge. Also arrested were 21-year-old Reginald Maglore Augustine, Santiago's brother, on similar charges. Both are wanted for homicide in New York.

Ajamu Osborne, aka Justice McCray, whom New York police did not suspect was in Rocky Mount, was charged with possessing crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and stolen property. He is wanted on a drug-related shooting charge in New York. Osborne, Santiago and Augustine are being held without bond.

Theresa Shepard Leshanay, 20, is charged with possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia. She is being held on $20,000 bond.

All are being held in Edgecombe County Jail.
