Russell Dean Landers, a North Carolina native, is on trial for his alleged part in the illegal dealings of a group known as the Freemen. One thing the Freemen are known for is passing bad checks, and Landers and an associate allegedly used one of those worthless checks to purchase a recreational vehicle at College Park RV Sales in Raleigh.

Jamie Taylor works at College Park, and says he remembers the sale. He also remembers when he next saw the vehicle. It was on national television coverage of the Freemen standoff in Montana.

Taylor is scheduled to give testimony about the sale in Landers' trial in February.

There will be more than 35 witnesses during the run of the trial. It is expected to last about three weeks.
