Soldiers Charged with Statutory Rape

Two Fort Bragg soldiers are behind bars, charged with statutory rape of two young girls from Cary.

Fayetteville police say four 82nd Airborne paratroopers provided beer to three juveniles in a room at a local motel Saturday night.

Private First Class Willie Garner and Private First Class Richard Bellinger are charged with raping the 14-year-olds.

Police believe the girls were runaways.
