The second Johnston County school bus accident in as many days occurred Wednesday morning when the driver of a blue Firebird says fog made it impossible to see the bus. Another accident Tuesday morning happened at the same intersection.

Jeremy Sherron, 18, says he stopped at the intersection, didn't see anything coming, and proceeded through.

Troopers agree that Sherron stopped as required, but it wasn't enough. His car struck Johnston County school bus 136 which was carrying 13 students bound for Clayton Middle and High schools.

Three students complained of injuries and were taken to Johnston Memorial Hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be serious. The Highway Patrol cleared the intersection and a back-up bus was brought to take the remaining students to school.

Some parents say they're upset. Donita Brown says the intersection is dangerous.

Sherron says he would like to see a traffic light at the intersection, because he never saw the bus coming. He has been charged with failure to yield.
