Jury Selection Begins Monday In Ezelle Kennedy Trial

Jury selection begins Monday in the trial of two teenagers who are charged with killing Elleze Kennedy, the aunt of lawmaker Leo Daughtry.

Bryan Bell and Antwaun Sims, both of Newton Grove, are accused of kidnapping Kennedy from her Sampson County home, then leaving her in the trunk of her car to die.

A third teen has already pleaded guilty and will testify against Bell and Sims.

The trial will take place in Onslow County, because of publicity related to the case.

Bell and Sims could get the death penalty if convicted.
