A quartet of Davis Drive Middle School students and their teacher spent the weekend at Disney World Resort because they built a better toothbrush, which cleans around braces better.

"It's especially hard to get under the wires to clean the food out of there. It's embarrassing if you do have food under there," says student Anne Tomasevich.

The students have made it to the final round, where $36,000 is up for grabs.

Their group is one of 10 in the Bayer/National Science Foundation competition.

The Bayer/National Science Foundation's Annual Big Ideas competition asks students to troubleshoot an idea and come up with solutions.

The top winner will be announced this week.
