Harnett County Authorities Arrest Suspect In Murder of Elderly Man

Officials in Harnett County have arrested a suspect they say is responsible for the murder of an elderly man last weekend, and they credit citizens with helping them make the arrest.

Authorities arrested Timothy Henry Jackson, 31, Thursday and charged him with the murder of 81-year-old Charles Baker.

Jackson has also been charged with burglary and armed robbery.

He is being held in the Harnett County Jail without bond.

Sheriff's deputies say the composite description the neighbors gave the police was very instrumental in solving the case.
