Holly Springs Accident Kills One, Injures Two

A car accident claimed a life Saturday night in Holly Springs.

The Highway Patrol says 44-year-old Raymond Pearson crossed the center lane and hit another vehicle.

Pearson was killed. Two people in the other car were seriously injured.

Shelton Allen is in stable condition at WakeMed; his daughter is in serious but stable condition.

TheHighway Patrolsaid the accident occurred around 8:30 p.m.

The highway was shut down while rescue workers cleared the scene.
