Come and Get It! Cary Gives Away Mulch

Cary's mulch bin runneth over, which is good news for people who want some of it.

The town is giving away 1,600 tons of free mulch through the town's "Mega Mulch Madness" event. Town crews will load the mulch into any size truck at no cost.

Bring a truck to the Cary Convenience Center (Old Public Works facility) at 316 North Dixon Avenue Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Most of this year's mulched debris comes from severe weather that hit Wake County in late August.
