Battle Of Bands To Benefit Durham Youth Program

Eight Triangle companies, including Capitol Broadcasting Co., WRAL-TV's parent company, will participate this spring in the first-ever Triangle Corporate Battle of the Bands, sponsored by McKinney and the American Tobacco Campus.

    Triangle Corporate Battle of the Bands

    Scheduled for Saturday, May 20, the event's proceeds will benefit youth workshops and apprenticeship programs of SeeSaw Studio, which provides workshops and apprenticeships for low-income youth in the areas of design, entrepreneurship, art and life skills.

    The following eight Triangle corporate bands will compete:

  • GlaxoSmithKline, The Pharmers
  • Kontek Systems, Inc., The RGBGs
  • Patterson, Dilthey, Clay, Bryson & Anderson, Attractive Nuisance
  • Smith Barney, uPtick
  • Smith Breeden Associates, Inc., Bond-Age
  • Capitol Broadcasting Co., Inc., Transmit This!
  • Caterpillar, Loader.
