N.C. State guard Anthony Grundy scored a win off the basketball court Monday.

Makazi Matingwa, a student at N.C. State, testified that Grundy attacked her in her Avent Ferry apartment in January. Grundy says Matingwa attacked him in a jealous rage and that he never laid a finger on her. The judge sided with Grundy.

Grundy says he is sorry about the pain the ordeal has caused to people in his life.

"I apologize to the university, my team the coaches and friends for being put in the position that they have," he says.

This is not the first time Matingwa has filed charges against an N.C. State athlete. She was also accused a football player of assaulting her. Those charges were dismissed.
