Wish Comes True for Battleboro

The Town of Battleboro has officially become a part of the City of Rocky Mount and evidence of the change was visible on the streets.

Rocky Mount street sweepers were on the job in Battleboro Monday and at the former town hall, Rocky Mount police cars were parked out front.

City officials say residents can expect to keep their Battleboro addresses for at least the next 60 days
