Runaway Again Found Safe

The disappearance of a 15-year-old Knightdale girl with a history of running away has ended with her safe discovery in South Carolina.

Myrtle Beach police picked up Jennifer Ryals on Ocean Boulevard about 9 a.m. Monday. A social worker will bring her back to Knightdale.

Her family had reported her missing nine days ago in Wrightsville Beach, where they had been visiting. Police said they didn't know why or how Jennifer had gotten to Myrtle Beach.

In 1995 her family spent anxious weeks when she disappeared on an Amtrak train. Seven weeks later she was found in Maryland, when she was detained on a shoplifting charge
