A Virginia company is recalling bags of dry dog food sold at 69 Wal-Mart stores in North Carolina and five other states.

Doane Pet Care said 55-pound bags of its Ol' Roy Complete Nutrition dog food may be contaminated with salmonella.

Consumers should check for a specific code number 04 0735 1 and an April 13, 2008, freshness date. No illnesses have been reported.

Doane Pet Care said there is no connection to the recent national pet food recall linked to an industrial chemical.
