Wake County sheriff's deputies said on Monday, June 4, 2007, that Jason Tyrone Jeffries was missing and that his disappearance was considered suspicious

Sheriff's deputies Monday issued a request for the public's help in finding a 21-year-old man who was last seen overnight Wednesday and whose disappearance they said was suspicious.

Jason Tyrone Jeffreys of Wake Forest was last seen in Raleigh around Garner Road and Bragg Street, officials said. His family reported him missing Friday night, the sheriff's office said in a statement.

Jeffreys was described as black, 6-foot-1, 160 pounds, with black hair in dreadlocks or braids, a moustache and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, gray pants and red-and-black shoes, deputies said.

They did not disclose details, but said "the circumstances surrounding his disappearance are suspicious."
