House Fire Claims the Life of Durham Woman

Emergency crews rushed to a Durham home Monday afternoon, but not in time to save a person inside.

By the time firefighters arrived at the home on Cedarwood Street, a 68-year-old woman living inside was dead.

The fire started in the victim's room. The victim was living with her daughter and son-in-law.

No one but the victim was home at the time of the fire.

Investigators believe the fire was accidental.
