Governor Huntsays more needs to be done to stop domestic violence.

The Governor's Domestic Violence Commission met for the first time Friday in Raleigh. Members say they will not just focus on victims.

"In addition to focusing on victims, is, of course, focusing on people who abuse their partners and really try to send a strong message that there are consequences to that behavior," says Leslie Starsoneck of the Domestic Violence Commission.

This group is North Carolina's first permanent commission given the task of fighting domestic violence.

The commission will implement the findings from a task force that has been working on solutions to domestic violence. -->
