Suspects Arrested After Raleigh Robbery, Shooting
Two suspects have been arrested following an overnight robbery and shooting at a Raleigh supermarket.
About midnight, two men drove up to the new Food Lion supermarket at Western Boulevard and Method Road. Witnesses said that as one man waited in the car, the other entered the store.
He demanded to see the manager, and when Manager Michael Frankhart came to the front of the store, a struggle ensued and Frankhart was shot.
Frankhart was listed in guarded condition Tuesday at a local hospital; his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The car was spotted on Highway 70, 45 minutes after the occurrence. A gun and money were recovered.
Police identified the suspects as Patrick Kent, 27, of Smithfield and Ronald Leroy Stancil, 25, of Wilson's Mill.
They have been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, inflicting serious injury with intent to kill, and first-degree kidnapping.
