Three Injured, Three Dead in Car Accident

Investigators say fatigue may have been a factor in an early morning wreck that killed three people and injured three more.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol says a Chevrolet was driving along NC Highway 24 when it crossed the center line and hit another car head-on killing Sandra Newby, 23, Jesse Richardson, 43 and the driver Clarence Richardson, 41.

One person from the Chevrolet and two people from the other vehicle were injured and transported to area hospitals. Tawana Richardson is in serious condition, Essequiel Betran is satisfactory condition and Javier Martinez is in critical condition.
