Chatham Bank Robbers Sought

Bank robberies are not everyday occurrences, but one in Moncure on Friday was more unusual than most. Two men robbed the bank -- but one of them was dressed as a woman.

The FBI and Chatham County law officers are searching for the men, who were armed.

They entered the Fidelity Bank in Moncure about 4 Friday afternoon.

They took the money and got away in a tan car.

Officials later found the car abandoned about a mile from the bank. It had been stolen in an earlier robbery.
