Rabid Raccoon Found in Chapel Hill

A rabid raccoon has health officials on alert in Orange County.

A Chapel Hill woman found the dead animal last week in the yard where she kept her dogs.

So far the dogs have shown no sign of rabies.

Several other cases of potentially rabid animals have been reported in Orange County.
