Hold-Up Photos Leave No Doubt Robber Was Armed

Wake Forest police Wednesday asked the public’s help in capturing a bank robber whom a camera caught clearly pointing a semi-automatic handgun at a teller.

The man robbed the Fidelity Bank branch at 12201 Capitol Blvd. about 11:10 a.m. he got away with an undetermined amount of cash after giving a teller a bag and ordering the teller to fill it with money, town police said.

No one was hurt in the hold-up.

Police describe the suspect as black man between 25 and 30 years old, 5-foot-7 and with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a yellow shirt under a black leather jacket and had on long pants and a black baseball cap, they said.
