Raleigh Residents Stage Anti-Crime March

Residents of Raleigh's South Park neighborhood want to show criminals they aren't welcome.

About 30 people chanted anti-drug slogans and carried signs as they marched through the streets.

Residents say drug deals happen here every day, and they're afraid for their children's safety. Today they wanted to send a message to criminals: the residents are taking back their neighborhood.

"We hope they'll think we are wise to what's going on, and that we are going to do all we can to do something about it," said rally organizer Junious Sorrell.

The residents marched a mile and a half through one of Raleigh's toughest neighborhoods. They're planning more anti-crime programs in the future.
