Police in Enfield shot a robbery suspect in the arm.

The shooting followed the holdup of a convenience store in the Halifax County town.

As police searched for the suspect, he tried to run them over with his vehicle. A police officer fired once, hitting the suspect in the arm.

The suspect's identity has not been released.
