Injured Raleigh Police Officer's Condition Upgraded

A Raleigh police officer is now listed in good condition after he was injured while pursuing a suspect.

Officer Steven John Salina, 24, was involved in a foot pursuit Tuesday afternoon with William Davis Henry. Both men ran onto the section of the Beltline near the Hammond Road interchange when Salina was struck by an oncoming vehicle.

Salina was taken to WakeMed. Henry was apprehended a short time later.
