Task Force To Discuss Changes To N.C. State Tailgating Policy
Wolfpack fans would have an extra two hours to party before football games if a suggestion made Tuesday to a panel studying tailgating rules is approved.

Members of the North Carolina State University Football Task Force reviewed regulations implemented in the past two years after two fans were shot and killed during a parking-lot fight before a football game.

Parking lots now open four hours before kickoff instead of the night before, but a suggestion was made to extend that to six hours.

Last year, rules were adopted that also outlawed beer kegs, established noise levels for music and required picture IDs.

Any changes must be approved by N.C. State Chancellor James Oblinger before taking effect.
