Car, Wake County School Bus Involved In Accident

Authorities say a car and a school bus were involved in an accident Thursday morning.

The accident occurred near the intersection of

Old Stage Road and Swift Creek Lane

in Wake County.

According to reports, the bus was partially on top of the car. Authorities say three people in the car were injured and taken to the hospital. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening. Two students were on the bus, but they were not injured.

The accident caused traffic delays for about an hour.

Highway Patrol officers said the driver of the car failed to yield the right of way when making a left-hand turn.
