A man accused of killing his wife and dumping her body in a local lake was indicted Tuesday as a habitual felon because of different charges.

Robert Petrick, who is charged with murder in the death of his wife, Janine Sutphen, has three prior felony fraud convictions in Illinois.

Petrick is currently serving an 11-year sentence on a fraud charge in North Carolina.

The habitual felon status could mean a longer sentence if Petrick is convicted of his wife's death.

Sutphen, a cellist with the Durham Symphony, disappeared in January 2003. Her body was found months later floating in Falls Lake.
