Man Shot After Refusing To Give Up Bicycle

Wake County deputies are searching for the gunman who allegedly shot a man after he refused to hand over his bicycle.

John Phillip Snipes told investigators he was riding his bike on Highway 42 when a man with a gun demanded that he give the bike to him.

When Snipes refused, authorities said the man shot him in the backside.

Snipes managed to drive to a nearby convenience store and call police. Investigators say he will be OK.

A description of the suspect has not been released.
