Child Injured on Way to Clayton School

Authorities said a girl was injured in an accident Wednesday morning at a Clayton school.

According to school officials, the student was at Riverwood Elementary School when her scarf somehow got caught in the door of her parents' car. Officials said the car accidentally ran over the girl's foot.

The girl's injuries are not expected to be serious, but she was taken to WakeMed as a precaution.
