More charges were filed Tuesday against the owner of a Nash County horse-riding farm for the handicapped.

The Halifax County Sheriff's Department charged Lynn Coley with 19 more charges of animal cruelty. Coley was arrested on nine counts Monday. She's also accused of moving the horses to keep away investigators.

Coley told WRAL the accusations of animal cruelty are wrong.

A veterinarian working with the Nash County Sheriff's Department continued evaluating the horses seized on Monday to see if they are malnourished.

The U.S. Equine Rescue Society will care for the sick animals and put the healthy ones up for foster adoption until Coley's cases are resolved in court.
