Harnett County Commissioners Propose Resolution In Feud Between Hospitals

Harnett County commissioners are stepping in to try to resolve a feud between two hospitals.

The Harnett County Board of Commissioners has proposed a merger between Good Hope Hospital and Betsy Johnson Memorial Hospital.

The board wants to appoint a hospital authority that would operate both hospitals.

Officials with the Betsy Johnson hospital in Dunn said they like the idea. But officials from Erwin's Good Hope said they do not like the resolution.

Good Hope is trying to win a court battle to get approval to build a new hospital in Lillington.
