Durham Man Hurt When Car Slams Into His Truck

A Durham man is in critical condition this morning after a car crashed into his broken down pickup truck.

The accident happened on Highway 15-501 near the Morreene Road Exit about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Investigators say the pickup stopped in the northbound lanes without any lights. The driver was standing in front of his truck when a car hit it.

The driver of the car is not hurt.

The pickup driver is in critical condition with head and lung injuries.
