A man charged with dozens of church break-ins across Sampson County learns his prison sentence for an earlier offense.

Kevin Spain will serve between nine and 12 years in prison. He was convicted of six counts of breaking and entering and one count of attempted to break-in.

Spain has yet to stand trial for the 31 church break-ins in Sampson County.

Spain and co-defendant Robert James Ruffin, who is also his cousin, were arrested last Fall after at least 60 church break-ins were reported in Sampson and four other counties.
