Durham Man Struck By Car Dies

A pedestrian hit by a van in Durham Monday night has died.

Calvin Lee Jordan, 50, of Durham, died Tuesday.

The accident happened at about 11 p.m. on Pettigrew Street.

Police said Jordan was walking down the travel lane when he was struck by an eastbound Chevrolet van driven by Grover Wilson of Durham.

They said Jordan was wearing dark clothing and the area where the accident occurred was poorly lit.

No charges are expected.
