Wilson Police Arrest Man On Murder, Robbery Charges

Wilson police have made an arrest in connection with a string of armed robberies and a murder.

Investigators say 21-year-old Eddie Ellis shot and killed Jonathan Barnes on Kenan Street Wednesday afternoon.

Ellis is charged with one count of murder as well as robbing five area convenience stores at gunpoint. He is in jail without bond.
