Fund-Raiser Held To Support Victim Of Hit-And-Run Incident

A fund-raiser is on the way to help a victim of last week's hit-and-run spree.

Pine Forest High School is raising money for Gary Weller's medical bills.

Weller, the former football coach at Pine Forest High School, is in serious condition at UNC Hospitals. He was one of five people hit by Abdullah Shareef Wednesday, who stole two vehicles to run the people over.

Shareef is currently being evaluated at Dorothea Dix Hospital.
