Gilchrist Leads Terps Past Wolfpack, Into ACC Championship Game

The Maryland Terrapins, looking sluggish early after a late-night overtime victory Friday against Wake Forest, came on strong in the second half against North Carolina State on Saturday to advance to Sunday's Atlantic Coast Conference championship game.

The No. 6 seeded Terps rallied from a 19-point halftime deficit to upset the No. 2 seeded Wolfpack, 85-82.

John Gilchrist scored 23 of his 30 points in the second half to engineer the Terrapins' comeback.

Maryland will play top-seeded Duke, which defeated Georgia Tech, 85-71, in Saturday's early semifinal, for the ACC title on Sunday.
