N.C. Beauty Queen Says She Lived Dream At Pageant

Miss North Carolina did not make it to the top in this year's Miss America contest, but Brooke McLaurin, of Fayetteville, says she got to live a dream.

McLaurin says she competed the best she could in the Las Vegas pageant and is proud of her appearance on the stage.

She says the top 10 finishers had a certain look and she could tell the judges were not looking for a girl-next-door type. She says the top finishers were tall, dark and sexy but she wouldn't change her spunky and cute image to be Miss America.
